The Holy Month Of Muharram

Muharram is the primary month of the lunar calendar. “Muharram” means “sacred” which proposes that the vestry of this month. There are 4 months that might be referred to as sacred in Quran and certainly considered one among them is Muharram. Allah states in the Holy Quraan:

Four of them ( Zil-Qadah, Zil-Hijjah, Muharram, and Rajab) are sacred.

(Surah At-Tawbah:36)

Virtues:

As stated in the beginning strains the month of Muharram is amongst the sacred months in Islam. This month is blessed with positive unique virtues.

The Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon him said:

The best of fasts besides the month of Ramadhan is the fasting of Allah’s month of Muharram.
